Welcome to a New Exciting Figure Skating Season!
We are thrilled to welcome you and your skaters to another exciting season of figure skating with Oka Figure Skating (a branch of Oka Skating Academy). Our team is eager to lace up their skates and meet you and your skaters at the rink very soon!
Who We Are
Oka Figure Skating is a branch of Oka Skating Academy specializing in figure skating skill advancement. Our coaching team works with skaters just learning how to skate through advanced figure skating. It is our goal to provide access to top-tier training to propel skaters to new heights of excellence.
What We Offer
We offer personalized coaching to advance your skating skills! Our program runs five months each year, October through February. In these five months, our enrolled skaters participate in weekly private lessons. All lessons are with a member of our certified coaching team and are personalized for a unique experience tailored to your skater! All enrolled skaters also have the option to participate in figure skating competitions throughout the season.
Who We Serve
Our lessons are great for individuals just learning how to skate through advanced levels of figure skating.

The best experience I have had with any sports program…
“There is no doubt they are having an absolute blast out there. Also seeing how quickly my daughter has learned to skate and watching her confidence on the ice grow far past my expectations. It was by far the best experience I have had with any sports program I have put her in and looking forward to next year already”
Athlete’s Parent

Frequently Asked Questions
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
Participation in our program is paid for with a monthly fee. You can opt to pay for the entire season (five months) upfront or pay each month via automatic payments. Payment for competition is completely separate and invoiced by the coach.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE ARE GONE ONE WEEK?
You will pick it up when you return! There are no make-up days for group lessons and classes.
WHERE ARE LESSONS HELD AT?
Agri Sports Complex and the Pete Conlin Arena (Raymond Family Center). Your reminder texts will state what location your lessons are at. Our master calendar will also state what rink our ice sessions are at.
HOW CAN MY CHILD GET MORE PRACTICE TIME?
All Oka Skating Academy students are welcomed to each ice session we have (three days a week) regardless if they have a scheduled lesson or not. We highly encourage skaters to use all ice sessions to practice their skills!
WHO WILL BE MY CHILD’S COACH?
Your child will be paired with a coach based on their skill level and availability (our coaches are available different days). After completing the intake form, your proposal will list who your child is paired with. Please note, if you worked with a certain coach last season, we will prioritize your time with that coach.
WHO WILL MY CHILD BE IN A GROUP LESSON WITH?
Small group lessons are paired based on skill and age, which is gathered in the intake form. The goal for all groups is to have skaters very similar in skating skills. It is important to note that our limited ice time will likely require most skaters to share a lesson time.
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?
Figure skaters must have leggings or tights/skirt combo, non-baggy clothing. Hats and gloves are permitted. For our youngest skaters just learning how to skate, we suggest snow pants and a winter jacket as we always start crawling on the ice/practicing getting up. Helmets are required for those just getting started.
